Presentation

For plenary and oral presentations:

• Both multimedia projector and transparent projector are provided in all conference rooms.
• In order to put your presentation on the conference website,please give us a copy of your presentation (PowerPoint, PDF) before or during the conference. To ensure that your presentation file runs well on our local computers when you speak, sending your presentation to us before the conference is recommended.
• Speakers are required to check your talk in the conference schedule online and contact CHEP'01 secretariat if the speaker is a different person from the person appeared in the conference schedule online.

For poster presentations:

• Size Limit: 900mm(width) x 600mm(height), prepared yourself.

Social Activities

Transportation

Local Organizing Committee will arrange airport pick up on September 1 and September 2. If you wish to take CHEP'01 shuttle bus to Friendship Hotel, please fill-in the Flight Notice form to inform us your flight number and the date of arrival. Staff of CHEP'01 with a sign "CHEP'01" will meet you at the international flight exit of Beijing International Airport. The ticket is $10 dollars each person. Those who arrive in Beijing before or after the above mentioned dates, the note below will help you take a taxi or public bus to Friendship Hotel.

• Taxi : From the airport to the Friendship Hotel it costs about RMB 120.
• Public Bus : From the airport to the Friendship Hotel it costs each person about RMB 16. You should buy a ticket before taking the bus.

Registration

All Conference registrations will take place at the lobby of Jing Bin Lou (Building No. 2) on September 2. Registration Desks will be open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. For those who arrive after September 2, please go to the Secretary Office of CHEP'01 at the Conference Hall for registration.

Check in

CHEP'01 Local Organizing Committee has reserved two kinds of rooms for participants at Friendship Hotel. Rooms A are in Building number 2 (Jing Bin Lou), and Rooms B are in Building number 1 (Gui Bin Lou). Please tell each building's reception that you are " CHEP'01" participants when you check in. Your room includes a free west breakfast (no matter one or two persons each room).

Facilities

• Computer room will be opening from 8:30 to 19:00 during the conference. There are 30 computers and some network connectors for notebook PC in the computer room. Every computers are installed Windows 98 system, MS/Office 2000 and Acrobat Reader 5.0.

Post-conference tour

Up to now, there are more then 40 people wish to join in the Tour 1 and 9 people for Tour 2.

Note for Tour 1: The weather in Turpan and Urumqi areas is very dry and still pretty hot at noon time in middle September. We'd like to remind participants to bring some anti-Ultraviolet ray cream for visit to Turpan and Heaven Pool, where is located at a top of more than 3000 meters mountain.

Note for Tour 2: The weather in Guili is pretty wet normally in middle September. Please bring umbrella with you. And one of the sightseeing points is Jade Dragoon Mountain where is about 3100 meters high and little bit cold. We'd like to remind you to bring warm clothes with you.
