摘要:
ERL-Ring eRHIC aims to build a new high current (50 mA), multi-pass (6 passes) ERL to provide 5-18 GeV electron beams to collide with proton beams from existing RHIC.  One critical challenge for eRHIC is to damp HOMs. The average HOM power is up to 8 kW per cavity, and it will get worse when the electron beam spectrum overlaps with cavity HOM spectrum. A novel HOM damping scheme by employing ridge waveguides has been worked out at BNL, which is able to well damp both longitudinal and transversal modes.  This presentation will describe the design of the HOM damping scheme for high current SRF cavities for eRHIC.
报告人简历:
徐文灿 于2009年取得北京大学博士学位,之后到Brookhaven National lab工作直到现在。 其中, 
2009-2014,主要负责的ERL超导加速腔的设计,垂直测试和水平的运行,光阴极电子腔的建造和运行。
2014 至今, 除了参加日常的CEC(Coherent electron cooling)和LEREC (Low energy RHIC electron cooling)的超导加速器运行之外,主要负责eRHIC SRF linac 的设计,包括超导加速腔的设计,高阶模耦合器和高功率耦合器, 以及恒温器系统的设计和实验。
