Locations
The
symposium will be held at the campus of Institute of
High
Energy Physics, located at the western
part
of Beijing city, near scenic Yuquan International Sculpture Park,
about
150 meters North of the Yu-quan-lu subway station.[map1]
It
takes about 30 minutes to Tian-An-Men Square by subway.
Chang
Feng Holiday Inn hotel is located about 1 km to the
east
of the Yu-quan-lu subway station [map2].

Travel
Information and Public Transportation
Free
shuttle buses from the airport to Chang Feng Holiday Inn and
IHEP will be arranged on August 29th, 2004 for the participants.
The
departure time of the buses from the airport are as the following:
10:00 12:00 14:00 16:30
18:30 20:00
On
August 29th there will be one person with a notice "MENU2004"
to collect participants at the
exit of the Luggage lobby of the airport.
For those participants who do not want to wait for the buses. Taxis are
always available at the airport. From the airport to the Chang
Feng Hotel, it costs about RMB160 (US$20).
Another
option to come to Chang Feng Hotel or IHEP from the airport
is to take the airport shuttle
bus to Gong Zhu Fen and then take a taxi
from there to Chang Feng Holiday Inn.

During
the meeting there will be a bus leaving Chang Feng Holiday
Inn
for IHEP at 8:00am in the morning. It takes about 5 minutes by
bus to get to IHEP from Chang
Feng Hotel.
For
going to the downtown area from Chang Feng Hotel or IHEP, one
may take public buses, subway or taxis. The fast way to the center
of the city from Yu Quan
Lu is to take subway line 1. It takes about 30
minutes to get to Tian An Men Square from YU Quan Lu by subway.
On
site registration
From
8:30 to 21:00 on August 29 the on-site registration will take
place at the lobby of Chang
Feng Holiday Inn and IHEP guesthouse.
The
on-site registration will continue on 30-31/8 at room A319 of
the main building of IHEP.

Tourist
Information
From
8:30 to 21:00 on August 29 the Travel Service Agency will
set
a desk at both Chang-Feng Holiday Inn hotel and IHEP guest
house
for dealing with the tourist issues.
Social
programs will be arranged mainly for the accompanying persons
so that they may fully enjoy their stay in Beijing.
The
China International Travel Service, who will send staff to
the conference registration
desk on August 29 to sell tickets, will
be the agent for the programs.

Climate
The
weather around conference time should be around 30°C (or
86F) during the daytime, with occasional (sometimes
violent) thunderstorms. To make it bearable, the
conference hall and the hetel are airconditioned.
