delegation led by Prof. Hao Xishan, President of the Tianjin Medical
University Cancer Institute and Hospital (TMUCIH), paid a visit on 1
August,2007 to the Institute of High-energy Physics (IHEP) and the
National Center for Nano-science and Technology (NCNST), CAS.
The Tianjin visitors held talks with the IHEP Director Chen Hesheng and
the Executive Vice Director of NCNST Wang Chen on the comprehensive
collaboration in nanotechnology studies for cancer diagnosis and
treatment between the CAS institutions and TMUCIH. TMUCIH,
 the
birthplace of oncology in China, boasts one of the most famous
modernized cancer hospitals in the world. The parties have agreed to
draw up a detailed roadmap and a formal agreement soon for cooperation
in the afore-sain field.
Zhang Xianen, Director-general of the Bureau for Basic Sciences,
Ministry of Science and Technology and Jiao Junlu, Vice President of the
CAS Beijing Branch were present at the meeting. |
