HU Hongbo, born in Anhui Province in November, 1964, joined IHEP in 2000 under a national program ¡°Introducing Outstanding Young Scientists Abroad¡±.¡¡

He was graduated from the Department of Physics, Peking University in 1985 and got Ph.D degree in 1991, the same university. He did research as postdoc at IHEP from 1991 ¨C 1993 and at University of Wisconsin from 1993 ¨C 2001.

He is a full professor and standing member of the Science Committee of IHEP.

He has long been Involved in data analysis. He participated in several important subjects in ALEPH and BaBar experiments, such as the search for neutral Higgs boson, the study of Bs mixing, and the measurement of as and CP violation of the neutral B meson system. He put forward and developed some unique analysis methods which largely improved the physics results. What he had accomplished were important for physics and highlighted by the international community of high energy physics. Some of his published papers have been frequently quoted.

The current subject he undertakes is ¡° Data production and Physics Analysis of YBJ Experiments¡±.
